Camp Firelight: A Summer Camp Adventure With God
VBS 2024 Recap
We had a great week with a great group of children, helpers, & staff. We have 5 fun bible lesions that we learned in the sanctuary by a skit each evening. After the skit, we learned some very enjoyable songs that we later performed for parents on Thursday Night at the end of VBS. After the song practices, we would transition to Recreation, Story Telling, and Crafts. Each evening we ended with the wonderful snacks that were tied with each lesson.
The Bible Stories this week were God Goes with Jacob (Genesis 28:10-22), Ruth Chooses to Go (Ruth 1), Young Jesus Shares Wisdom (Luke 2:41-52), Jesus Calms the Storm (Mark 4:35-41), and The Good News Sparks Joy ( Acts 8:26-40).
The Firelight Focus for each day:
Day 1: Trust God to Go with Us!
Day 2: Trust God to Lead the Way!
Day 3: Trust God to Share Wisdom!
Day 4: Trust God to Give us Peace!
Day 5: Trust God to Spark Joy!
Our Mission this year was for the Food Pantry, the group this year raised $567.01 and 171 Food Items this week. Great Job!
